Hello friends! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Sorry for being MIA. I’m not going to lie; it’s quite difficult to blog on a regular basis during the summer, since there are just so many things going on.
My morning coffee keeps me moving during the morning, and in the afternoon right after lunch, I like to have a cup of tea. But when the summer heat gets unbearable, all I want is a freshly made smoothie, and my favorite combination is mango/banana! It’s so easy to make and all you need is just a few ingredients. Remember that breakfast smoothie in a jar? Well, the ingredients used for that recipe can be reused for this one! It’s like killing two birds with one stone (I’ve never killed a bird by the way, and I don’t intend to do it)!
Serving :: 1
- 3/4 cup almond milk, preferably unsweetened
- 1 cup of frozen mango (cubes)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tbsp almond butter
Put the frozen fruits and pour the almond milk into the blender. Mix everything together. Add the almond butter and blend again.
Et voilà! Easy right? There’s so much you can do with a blender. I bought mine because I had enough points accumulated from my credit card. I didn’t think I’d use it so often. If you’re looking to buy one, you can try the Cuisinart. That’s the one I have. It comes with the blender jar, a chopping cup and four travel cups. The travel cups are really convenient especially if you like to prepare a smoothie for breakfast.
Hope you’ll give this healthy mango and banana smoothie a try this summer. Enjoy!
