The past three months with Lori have been nothing short of wonderful despite some challenges as a first time mom. I knew that having a baby would bring much happiness, but Lori is just a bundle of joy that brings more love and joy that our family could ever ask for.
I can’t believe Lori is now three-month-old. It’s crazy to think that she’s no longer a newborn but an infant. In such a short period of time, she has grown so much. We had to change her diaper size from newborn to size 1 and already had to put away some clothes because they don’t fit her anymore.
When we talk to her, she fixes her gaze on us and responds with “coos” and other irresistible sounds. She shows her happiness and excitement with smiles and by kicking the air fiercely with her feet. Lori has also started to show her preference for different things like being held in a sitting position rather than being held flat on her back. Instead of crying hysterically, she tells us that she’s hungry by making “aouu” sounds and shows us that she’s full by sticking out her tongue (to block the nipple).
I also can’t believe how strong she’s become. During tummy time, she progressively holds her head up longer after each session. She gets better as the days go on and it won’t be long until she can roll over by herself. I can’t wait for that time to come!
As a mom, I can’t help but be proud of my baby every time she reaches a milestone, even if it’s just a tiny little one. I haven’t shed a tear yet, but it will come… sooner than I think.
I don’t want to forget these moments. They happen once in a lifetime and I want to remember all of them. These three months with Lori have been incredible and I know that the next three will be just as memorable.
